What is Formula SAE?
Formula SAE is an engineering education competition that challenges teams of university undergraduate and graduate students to conceive, design, fabricate, develop and compete with small, formula-style vehicles.
Formula SAE encompasses all aspects of a business, including research, design, manufacturing, testing, developing, marketing, management, and fundraising.
Comprised of multiple events, teams are given the chance to demonstrate their creativity and engineering skills and compare them to teams from other universities around the world.
The prototype race car is evaluated for its potential as a production item by the following events, and then teams are ranked based on their total points scored.
